Job Description Job Description Job summary- Review and analyze requirement reports to efficiently generate purchase orders on a daily basis. Participate with the procurement team in increasing efficiency in the daily process, analyzing SKU and vendor performance, and maintaining purchase order, SKU and vendor data for select commodities. Duties and Responsibilities: Efficiently generate purchase orders. Review for discrepancies and obtain PO confirmation. Continuously look to find, capture and track cost savings. Understand and follow purchasing requirements including methods, lead time, freight, etc. Responsible for understanding customer requirements, reviewing exceptions and expedite orders. Accountable for data management to include item changes, description updates, unit of measure updates, pricing updates and catalog maintenance. Manage vendor performance by reviewing non-moving, obsolete, discontinued or dead inventory. Create returns, manage current pricing concerns and monitor fill rates and DTC Support company and department efforts by actively participating in special assignments and projects assigned. Regular direction from the Purchasing Manager Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an ERP system, ours is CSD Previous purchasing experience in a similar environment or industry Required Qualifications: Strong Communication Skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service Proficient in MS Office software. Resilient and independent personality Highly organized and efficient with time Physical Requirements: General office requirements and exposure.
