Professor/Professor of Practice of Accounting (Full-Time Benefited)
Salary Range: $91,569 to $96,656 Position Summary: The Bill and
Vieve Gore School of Business at Westminster University in Salt
Lake City, Utah is actively looking for a full-time Assistant
Professor/Assistant Professor of Practice of Accounting, beginning
Fall 2026. The Professor of Practice designation is reserved for
individuals with significant professional expertise and
accomplishments in their field. The successful candidate will hold
relevant academic credentials and bring substantial professional
experience in accounting or related discipline. Responsibilities
include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting
and business, engaging in scholarly research, advising students,
and contributing to university and school service activities. We
seek candidates who demonstrate a s strong commitment to excellence
in teaching within a student-centered learning environment, a
willingness to participate in research and publication,
professional engagement, and administrative effectiveness. This
position carries a a 24-credit-hour teaching load over a 9-month
contract. Salaries and benefits, including tuition remission, are
competitive. Areas of teaching interest include intermediate and
advanced financial accounting, managerial accounting, and cost
accounting. An application must include a cover letter addressing
the specific requirements of the position, current CV, evidence of
teaching effectiveness, and three letters of recommendation.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: PhD, JD or master’s degree
in accounting or a closely related discipline. 5 years of
experience in accounting practice or in teaching
accounting/business at a collegiate level. Demonstrated excellence
in teaching and commitment to working effectively with a diverse
student population and community Strong planning, organizational,
and communication skills necessary for performing administrative
responsibilities, including student recruitment, admissions,
advising, course staffing, mentoring, curriculum development, and
career placement Preferred Qualifications: Current professional
licensure (e.g., Attorney, CPA, EA, CMA) or the ability to obtain
such licensure. Experience integrating professional practice into
the classroom through case studies, applied projects, or
experiential learning. Demonstrated participation in scholarly,
pedagogical, or professional development activities. About
