to our collaborative teams. As an Aeronautical Engineer – Level 5
located in Promontory, UT, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of
paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day
one. This Project Engineering role will collaborate with a broad
team including subject matter experts to manage/facilitate project
technical requirements for the program. The PE position works
within a team that includes SLS program management, NASA customers,
chief engineering, project engineering, L&E engineering as well
as others. The PE is responsible for the technical execution of
L&E work and the creation and release of documentation of
L&E products. The position will lead the team to
implement/integrate new analysis models/techniques, in conjunction
with the customer. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with
every other Friday off. Job responsibilities include, but are not
limited to, the following: Create and manage an executable level 4
plan that contains the scope and schedule for the execution of the
program milestones Participate in and provide technical guidance
within the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) including customers Act
as a technical focal point for the customer ensuring customer
satisfaction including participation in NG and customer review
boards Drive timely and clearly communicated decisions and
recommendations Work closely with the Program Manager to manage
technical execution of the program within cost and schedule defined
for the effort Work with Propulsion Systems functional management
to assure proper technical support Drive technical excellence into
the L&E teams (by upholding technical standards for project,
managing technical risks, supporting cost goals, and ensuring
requirements compliance) Provide other support for the SLS L&E
effort as assigned by management Other duties as assigned If this

consider joining our team! Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree
(STEM) with 12 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s
degree with 10 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 8
years of professional experience. Must have the ability to obtain
and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance 5 yrs
experience in solid rocket motor and/or ordnance component design,
analysis, manufacturing, project engineering, or systems
engineering Strong analytical problem-solving skills, and ability
to deal with ambiguity Excellent time management, organizational,
and interpersonal skills Strong verbal and written communication
skills with the ability to clearly present technical information at
all organizational levels both internal and with Government
customers Ability to see how a complex system works (big picture)
while working on individual component details and interactions to
identify effects in data and determine cause within the hardware
Ability to travel: Travel expectation of 5% – 10% Preferred
Qualifications: Experience in loads and environments analysis,
generation, and testing Engineering leadership experience in solid
rocket motor development, qualification, and production cycles
Demonstrated credibility with internal and external customers
Coordination of engineering efforts across multiple design,
analysis, production, and test groups as well as teams consisting
of multiple disciplines Demonstrated team leadership skills -
leader of significant technical projects or investigations and
management of multiple program tasks Ability to manage multiple
concurrent projects while maintaining focused results within
reliability, quality, schedule, and budget requirements /
constraints Strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring
engineering meets customer and program expectations in a timely and
efficient manner Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems

Primary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00 The above
salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop
Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary
offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and
the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible
for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance
coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid
holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal
