Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of patient care. Independently performs general and unit-specific clinical skills. Contributes to the Department and the nursing-- profession in a positive manner.The ICU consists of 8 beds- RN patient ratio is-- 1:1 - 2:1--Follows Registered Nurse state practice guidelines and hospital policies and procedures, as well as unit based protocols and procedures. Collaborates with other disciplines to assure patient safety, creates an environment of healing, and facilitate the achievement of exceptional outcomes for patients. --Evaluates, formulates, coordinates, and documents the patient's plan of care based on a complete physical and psychosocial assessment and response to interventions based on the age and need of the patient.
--Qualifications A. Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Utah or RN Compact License required. Maintains current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS certification. B. Education: BSN preferredC. Experience: 1 year of medical/surgical or similar acute hospital experience required. Previous Critical Care experience preferred.--D. Special Qualifications: Successfully completes general nursing and unit orientation. Effective communication skills; both orally and written. Computer skills needed. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care.Strong problem solving skills. Good customer service skills.
