This role offers the opportunity to work with innovative clients on sophisticated patent matters, including drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, excellent writing skills, and a collaborative approach to client service. Salary & Benefits Competitive base salary range of $150,000 - $250,000, depending on experience and technical background Performance-based bonus opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer contribution Generous paid time off and paid holidays CLE, USPTO registration, and professional development support Flexible or hybrid work arrangements, depending on experience Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Admission to the Utah Bar or ability to waive in Registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office 2 years of patent prosecution experience Technical background in engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field Experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. patent applications Strong written communication and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines Responsibilities Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications before the USPTO Prepare and respond to Office Actions and conduct examiner interviews Perform patentability and prior art analyses Collaborate with inventors and clients to develop patent strategies Assist with patent portfolio management and prosecution strategy Stay current on USPTO rules and patent law developments - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
