Job Description:


The IOP Therapist supports and ensures the team and clients function in a safe, effective, efficient way promoting best quality and output standards. Supporting scheduling, specific department task completion, communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and time and priority management. Collaborates with the Lead Therapist to ensure the maintenance of treatment fidelity, company policy and procedure and client satisfaction.


  • Works closely with the Lead Therapist to oversee the OCD and Anxiety Treatment Center (TOATC) programming and operations.
  • Actively engages with clients through clinical interactions, development of skills and clinical interventions. Provide validation in a warm, safe environment and keep clients motivated to work through distress and eliminate neutralizing behaviors.
  • Oversee the psychotherapeutic intervention provided to a client during treatment for OCD and other mental health disorders including case conceptualization, development of treatment plan, perpetuate a skillful and organized IOP, such as comprehensive documentation, delivery of skill group, and crisis planning and management.
  • Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team
  • Maintains communication between the lead therapist, and clinical assistant team
  • Supports in maintaining client satisfaction
  • Maintains all written documentation such as progress notes, group therapy notes, etc.
  • Supports the clinical assistant team with problem solving therapeutic treatment concerns including but not limited to interventions, customer service issues, scheduling conflicts and accessibility to care
  • Masters de-escalation techniques, crisis planning, and management
  • Adheres to all company policy and procedures
  • Thrives in a changing work environment including inside, outside, and loud noise level


  • Perform mental health assessments including differential diagnosis, plan, organize, and implement lesson plans for group settings, treatment, coordination of treatment, individual psychotherapy with the facility's evidence-based protocol.
  • Master group therapy with an emphasis on Dialectical Behavior skills and processes
  • Maintains all written documentation such as progress notes, group therapy notes, etc. promptly with a basic knowledge of computer and typing skills
  • Takes an active role in supporting and modeling TOATC business processes that are both current and in development while supporting and cultivating a positive culture on their team
  • Maintains a clean and orderly environment
  • The physical demands of the job will include bending, sitting, lifting, walking, and driving
  • Drives personal vehicle for work purposes, Travels between offices, for in-vivo exposures, or in-home therapy services may be needed

Required Skills:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Eligible to work in the US
  • Pass a full criminal background check
  • Masters degree or higher in social work, clinical mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field
  • Current and unrestricted state licensure
  • Have a valid drivers license, maintain a clean driving record, and able to transport clients
  • Problem-solving skills, team-oriented, and effective communication skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Two years experience in mental health position
  • OCD and anxiety experience
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy experience
