Job Description Job Description Position: Scientist Payrate: $27/Hr. On W2 Contract: 12 months contract Locations: Salt Lake City, UT 84116 Shift: 1st Position Overview: Preference for candidates with hands-on chemistry, wet lab, bio lab or analysis experience. - All candidates should have a bachelor's degree, and the specific degrees are called out below. Skillset Matrix Technology Requirements (I.E Programs, systems, etc) General lab experience What does a typical day look like? (daily tasks) Work in the lab, testing samples, maybe writing up results, helping clean the lab, running the dishwasher Preferred background/prior work experience? Lab experience Priority soft skills Self-starter, good communicator Description: Looking for local candidates, contract position, potential long term depending on business needs. Flexible schedule, Full time. Roles: - Provide technical skill, analytical testing, and engineering support for technology development activities for various medical device products. Support current projects in research & development and possibly pilot-scale manufacturing - Focus will be on analytical chemistry work and / or in vitro biomedical work using instruments in the lab. - Execute technical and cross-functional project work - Follow and execute on standard operating procedures (SOP) and test methods. - Coordinate and support maintenance activities of lab as required. - Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor or as required to support the business. Must haves: - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant major: Chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, materials science, or closely related fields. - Experience / understanding of working in a lab. Lab work experience a strong plus. - Ability to write detailed technical protocols and reports a strong plus. - Strong communication skills - Strong willingness to learn
